About Crystal Lake Akita

Crystal Lake Akita is located in Lake Hamilton, just south of Orlando, Florida.

Our Akitas are very friendly and they socialized from day one with kids. The first Akita was given to us as a gift by my brother. We felt so proud when we walked her and people were giving us compliments about our dog. We got hooked by the beauty and the presence of the dog. It was not long after that we purchased an AKC puppy and we bred her with the son of a champion. We kept a puppy from the litter by the name of Niki. Niki had 7 puppies of her own. They were placed in lovely homes by the time they were 9 weeks old. Our Akitas are well mannered and we take great pride by having them.

Our ethics, breeding practices, and our placement of puppies will tell you a lot about us. We strive to only have Akitas that enhance the quality of the breed. Feeding our Akitas

We are one of the few breeders who feed raw meat to their Akitas. It is very expensive but the diet is very natural. We feed chicken, turkey, beef, deer, goat, pork, and fish to our Akitas. All commercial dogs are have steroids, hormones, by-products, soy, corn, preservatives, etc…We freeze their meat for a number of weeks before feeding. That slow process kills all the bacterias.

We also add fish oil, vegetables and fruits mixed with some grinded meat. By feeding your dogs the way we do they don’t develop all the issues associated with commercial diet. Most dogs on commercia dog food have skin issues, ear infection, bloody urine and later cancer just to name a few. As a human, would you eat the commercial dog food for a year? If you were you would seriously be sick or die. So, why feeding to your precious fur babies ?
